Visitor analytics, built in: your forum's traffic, private by design

Every hosted forum is now measured by our own self-hosted, cookieless analytics — visits, top pages, traffic sources, devices, and a live world map, right in your hosting panel. No third parties, no raw IPs, and verified traffic bands on the Rankings.

Until now, knowing how your community was doing meant bolting on a third-party tracker — and handing your visitors' data to someone else to get a pageview count. As of this week, every forum we host is measured by our own analytics platform, running on our own servers, and the results live right inside your hosting panel.

What you can see

Open your hosting panel and head to the Analytics tab. You'll find:

  • The essentials — visits, pageviews, bounce rate, and average visit length, with a visitors-per-day chart and a one-click toggle between the last 7 and 30 days.
  • Top pages — which discussions are actually pulling people in.
  • Traffic sources — search engines, social networks, and referring sites, normalized into names you recognize instead of raw URLs.
  • A world map — where your readers are, country by country, with each country's share of your traffic on hover.
  • Devices — desktop vs. mobile vs. tablet at a glance.
  • Live right now — a real-time count of visitors active on your forum in the last few minutes.

The Analytics tab is available on Pro and Enterprise plans. On Base? Measurement is already running for your forum too — the day you upgrade, your history is waiting.

Private by design

We didn't want to put a tracker on your community that we wouldn't accept on our own site. So the whole system is built to count visits without identifying visitors:

  • Cookieless. The tracker sets no cookies and stores nothing on your visitors' devices.
  • No raw IP addresses, ever. Visits are grouped using a salted hash that rotates every day — so we can tell two pageviews belong to the same visit, but nobody can be followed across days, and a raw IP never touches the analytics database.
  • Country-level only. Location stops at the country. No city, no coordinates.
  • Self-hosted, no third parties. Everything runs on our own U.S. infrastructure. No analytics company, ad network, or data broker ever sees a single event.
  • Auto-expiring. Raw events are deleted automatically after 13 months.

We've updated our Privacy Policy and Terms to spell all of this out in plain language.

Verified traffic on the Rankings

The same measurement now backs our Flarum Rankings. Forums hosted with us carry a Hosted on Link Robins badge — and alongside it, a verified traffic band like 1k+ visitors/mo, computed from real measured visits over the last 30 days. Not self-reported, not estimated from third-party guesswork: measured.

If you run a forum and want traffic numbers people can actually trust, that badge is now part of what hosting with us means.

Nothing to install

If your forum is hosted with us, this is already live — there's no script to add, no extension to enable, and nothing to configure. Open your panel and take a look.

Questions about your numbers, or want a metric you don't see yet? Reach out through your panel — we read everything.
