1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any Link Robins services, including Link Robins Flarum Hosting, our uptime monitoring tools and public status pages, the Link Robins Flarum community rankings and directory (the “Rankings”), and any related offerings (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users of the Service.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information and keep your credentials secure.
  • You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized such activity. You agree to notify Link Robins immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) and Use of the Service

This section outlines the rules and conditions that govern your use of all services provided by Link Robins LLC. Violation of this AUP may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your service without a refund.

A. Prohibited Content and Activities:

  • Illegal or Unlawful: You may not use our Services to host, store, transmit, or link to any content that infringes on copyright/trademarks; phishing sites; malware/viruses; and any form of child exploitation (CSAM). We have a zero-tolerance policy for child exploitation and will report such activity to US federal authorities immediately.
  • Harmful or Abusive: Content that promotes terrorism, illegal violence, or provides instructions on how to perform illegal acts.
  • Fraudulent: Any content or activity designed to deceive, such as Ponzi schemes, impersonation, or credit card fraud.

B. Transactional Email & Anti-Spam:

Link Robins provides a built-in transactional email outbox for core forum functions. To protect our server reputation and ensure delivery for all clients:

  • No Bulk Marketing: You are strictly prohibited from using the built-in outbox for newsletters, bulk marketing, "cold" sales outreach, or any unsolicited email (SPAM).
  • List Hygiene: Using the forum to send notifications to "bought" or "scraped" email lists is prohibited.
  • Consequences: If your instance generates a high volume of "Spam Complaints" or "Bounces," we reserve the right to disable your email outbox immediately to protect the shared reputation of our IP space.

C. Resource and Network Abuse:

Our platform provides guaranteed resources (RAM/CPU) for your instance. However, the following activities are prohibited:

  • Non-Forum Workloads: You may not use your instance for cryptocurrency mining, folding@home, or running non-Flarum related background processes.
  • Network Attacks: Using your hosted site to launch Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, port scanning, or any activity designed to disrupt other networks.
  • Malicious Extensions: Intentionally installing Flarum extensions designed to scrape data or overwhelm other websites.

D. "Unlimited Uploads" and Storage (Fair Use - Flarum Hosting):

Our "Unlimited Uploads" feature, powered by Cloudflare R2, is intended for media and files directly related to the operation of your Flarum community (e.g., avatars, user-posted images, PDF attachments). This feature may NOT be used for:

  • Personal Archival: Using your Flarum instance as a personal or commercial file backup service (e.g., a "Dropbox" alternative).
  • High-Bandwidth Distribution: Hosting or distributing large media files (movies, large software installers) unrelated to standard community discussion.
  • Video Hosting: We do not support direct video hosting. We recommend embedding videos from third-party providers (YouTube/Vimeo).

E. General Use Obligations:

  • Lawful Use: You agree not to use the Service to violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  • Network Integrity: You must not abuse networks, probe systems without authorization, or interfere with the Service’s operation, security, or infrastructure.
  • Responsibility for Content: You are solely responsible for the endpoints you monitor (via Link Robins’ monitoring tools) and any content you host or submit (via Link Robins Flarum Hosting). This includes ensuring that your content and activities comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

F. Flarum Rankings Directory and Listings:

The Link Robins Flarum Rankings directory (the “Rankings”) publicly lists and ranks Flarum communities. The same content and conduct standards set out in this Acceptable Use Policy apply to any site displayed in the Rankings, whether or not it is hosted by Link Robins.

  • No Prohibited Content: Link Robins will not knowingly list, rank, or display any site that would violate Sections 3(A) through 3(E) above, including any site that hosts illegal or unlawful content, child exploitation (CSAM), malware or phishing, or fraudulent schemes, or that promotes terrorism or illegal violence.
  • Discretionary Listing: Inclusion in the Rankings is provided at Link Robins’ sole discretion. We may decline to list, hide, delist, or remove any site at any time, including any site we determine to violate these Terms or to be otherwise objectionable. A site owner may request removal by contacting us at [email protected].
  • Verified Traffic Bands: For forums hosted by Link Robins, the Rankings may display a "hosted by us" badge and a coarse, aggregate traffic band (for example, "1k+ visitors/mo") derived from our own first-party traffic measurement described in our Privacy Policy. Only aggregate bands are displayed — never raw analytics data or individual visitor information. Traffic bands are provided as-is and may lag or be omitted at our discretion.

4. Service Availability Policy (Link Robins Flarum Hosting)

This Service Availability Policy is an integral part of these Terms of Service and describes our standards for providing a reliable hosting environment. This policy applies specifically to all clients utilizing Link Robins Managed Flarum Hosting.

  • Uptime Target: Link Robins aims to maintain a 99.9% Uptime Target for our network and the core infrastructure hosting your community. "Uptime" is defined as the percentage of a calendar month that your Flarum instance is accessible via HTTPS, as measured by our monitoring systems. Our infrastructure uptime is publicly monitored and available for review at linkrobins.com/status/uptime.
  • Service Level Agreement & Automatic Credit: If, in any calendar month, your forum's uptime falls below 95% due to causes within Link Robins' infrastructure (i.e., downtime not covered by the Exclusions below), we will automatically apply a service credit equal to 10% of that month's hosting fee (for annual subscriptions, 10% of the monthly-equivalent fee) to your account. The credit is applied on our own initiative — no request, ticket, or evidence is required — is deducted from your next invoice, and is noted in your hosting dashboard.
    • Sole Remedy: This service credit is your sole and exclusive remedy for downtime or service interruptions. Credits have no cash value, are not refundable or transferable, and a maximum of one credit applies per forum per calendar month.
  • Service Restoration: In the event of a service interruption, Link Robins commits to utilizing commercial best efforts to restore the Service as quickly as possible. Critical issues resulting in downtime are treated with the highest priority, 24/7.
  • Exclusions: We are not responsible for downtime or performance issues caused by:
    • Scheduled Maintenance: Maintenance for which we have provided at least 24 hours of advance notice via your dashboard or email.
    • Orchestration & Update Cycles: Temporary unavailability (typically minutes) during automated container reboots, Docker orchestration updates, or pushed software patches.
    • Customer-Generated Issues: Downtime caused by incompatible third-party themes, Flarum extensions installed via the Extension Manager, or custom configurations initiated by the user.
    • Third-Party Backbone Failures: Issues arising from upstream providers not under our direct control (e.g., Cloudflare, Cloudflare R2, or data center-level network outages).
    • Force Majeure & External Attacks: Circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government action, or DDoS attacks.
    • Account Standing: Service suspension due to non-payment or violation of these Terms (including the AUP).

5. Custom Site Hosting & Domain Management

This section applies specifically to clients utilizing Link Robins LLC custom site design and hosting services. It supplements, and does not replace, the other provisions of these Terms.

  • Domain Registration & Management (Optional): At your request, Link Robins LLC may register and/or manage a domain name on your behalf as a convenience. Where we do so, we act solely as an administrative manager — you are the beneficial owner and registrant of the domain at all times.
  • Your Ownership & Portability: You always own your domain. You may transfer it to another registrar or provider at any time, and upon request we will provide the authorization/EPP transfer code and reasonable cooperation to effect the transfer. We will not withhold a domain for any reason.
  • Registration Fees & Renewals: Domain registration and renewal fees are separate from your hosting subscription and may be billed to you or passed through at cost. You are responsible for ensuring applicable fees are paid so the domain does not lapse; Link Robins LLC is not liable for expiration, loss, or third-party registration of a domain resulting from unpaid or declined fees.
  • Client-Provided Domains: If you provide your own domain, you remain responsible for its registration and renewal, and for configuring DNS as we reasonably direct so the Service can function.
  • Termination: On cancellation or termination of custom site hosting, Link Robins LLC will cooperate in good faith to transfer any domain we manage to you or your chosen registrar.

6. Visitor Analytics (Flarum Hosting)

Managed Flarum Hosting includes built-in visitor analytics for your forum. The analytics platform is self-hosted on our own infrastructure and is designed to be privacy-preserving: it is cookieless, does not store raw visitor IP addresses, and produces aggregate statistics only, as described in our Privacy Policy.

  • Included with Hosting: Traffic measurement is a standard component of the hosting platform and operates for all hosted forums. Analytics dashboards are made available on qualifying plans.
  • Your Disclosure Obligations: You are responsible for ensuring that your forum's own privacy notice, and any consent or disclosure requirements applicable to your community, accurately reflect the use of these analytics.
  • Rankings Display: If your hosted forum appears in the Rankings, we may display an aggregate traffic band derived from this measurement, as described in Section 3(F).

7. Notifications & Alerts (Uptime Monitoring)

Alerts provided by Link Robins’ uptime monitoring tools are on a best-effort basis. Delivery times and accuracy may vary due to third-party networks, configuration, and other factors outside of our direct control.

8. Plans, Fees & Changes

We may offer free and paid plans for various services. Features, limits, and pricing for all services may change with notice as required by law or your specific plan terms. All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise expressly stated.

9. SLA / Availability

Managed Flarum Hosting is covered by the Service Level Agreement set out in Section 4, including the automatic service credit described there. Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, all other parts of the Service are provided without a service-level agreement (SLA).

10. Intellectual Property and DMCA Policy

The Service, including all websites, software, trademarks, logos, and content (excluding user-submitted content), are owned by Link Robins LLC or its licensors. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software.

DMCA / Copyright Policy:

Link Robins respects the intellectual property rights of others. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond to notices of alleged infringement.

To be effective, a notification of claimed infringement must be a written communication that includes:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material.
  • Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact the complaining party (Address, phone number, email).
  • A statement that the complaining party has a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that the complaining party is authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

Repeat Infringers: In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, Link Robins has a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, clients who are deemed to be repeat infringers.

11. Third-Party Services

We may integrate with third-party tools and services (e.g., email providers, webhooks, payment processors, Cloudflare). Your use of those third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. Link Robins is not responsible for the performance or policies of third-party services.

12. Termination and Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate your access to all or part of the Service for violations of these Terms (including the AUP), non-payment, or where required by law. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable in our sole discretion.

  • Enforcement: For minor technical issues or resource spikes, we will contact you directly to find a solution. For serious violations (illegal content, active spamming, or network attacks), we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service without prior notice.
  • No Refunds: No refunds will be issued for services terminated due to a violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINK ROBINS LLC DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND THOSE ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. LINK ROBINS LLC MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LINK ROBINS LLC AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF LINK ROBINS LLC HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOTWITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY CONTAINED HEREIN, THE LIABILITY OF LINK ROBINS LLC TO YOU FOR ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER AND REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF THE ACTION, WILL AT ALL TIMES BE LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT PAID, IF ANY, BY YOU TO LINK ROBINS LLC FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Link Robins LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, and fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the new Terms on our website or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Warner Robins, Georgia, USA, for the purpose of litigating all such claims or disputes.

18. Support Commitment

Support is provided directly via the Direct Chat Widget integrated into your dashboard or by email. As a veteran-owned business, we bring a mission-first mentality to our operations. The automatic service credit in Section 4 is your financial remedy for qualifying downtime — but our real commitment is restoration: we guarantee that bringing your community back is our absolute priority. We utilize 24/7 monitoring to ensure that if your infrastructure goes offline, we are likely already working on the solution before you even send a chat.
