Flarum on shared hosting

No SSH. Still a real Flarum.

Extensions and upgrades on Flarum require Composer — and shared hosting can’t run it. Fledge runs it for you: pick your extensions, we resolve everything on our servers, you upload one ZIP through your host’s file manager.

In planning — the waitlist decides whether it gets built. No payment, no commitment.

Composer’s work, without Composer.

Auto-installers copy files once and walk away — the first extension or upgrade leaves you stranded. Fledge does the tooling’s job on our servers instead.

One ZIP, everything in place

Your Flarum version and your extensions, fully resolved into a single ready-to-upload package — the same shape as Flarum’s official archives, built around your choices.

Conflicts caught before upload

Dependency resolution runs on our servers, so incompatible extension combinations fail here — with a plain explanation — not on your live forum.

Upgrades in one click

When Flarum or your extensions update, a fresh bundle is built against your exact set. Your forum stops being frozen at its install-day state.

Know your host first

A one-file compatibility check reports your PHP version, memory, and missing pieces before you invest anything. A clear no is free.

From stranded to current.

No command line at any step — your host’s file manager is enough.

1
Check your host
Upload one check file; it reports whether your hosting can run Flarum at all — before you invest anything.
2
Pick your extensions
Choose your Flarum version, PHP version, and extensions. We resolve the whole set on our servers.
3
Upload the ZIP
Extract it through your host’s file manager; Flarum’s own web installer takes it from there.
4
Stay current
When updates ship, one click rebuilds your exact set into a fresh bundle. No SSH, ever.
Just need a bare forum? · Flarum’s official installation archives handle that today, free — use them. Fledge is for the part they don’t cover: your extensions, and staying updated.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Fledge.

Why not just use my host’s auto-installer?
Panel auto-installers ship a snapshot of Flarum that is often outdated on day one — and they leave you with no way to add extensions or upgrade, because both require Composer, which shared hosting can’t run. Forums installed that way tend to be stranded at their install-day state.
Doesn’t Flarum already offer a no-SSH install?
Yes — Flarum publishes official installation archives, and for a bare forum they are the right answer; we’ll point you to them. Fledge picks up where the archives stop: your choice of extensions resolved into the same kind of ready-to-upload package, and kept up to date afterwards.
What exactly would I get?
You pick your Flarum version, PHP version, and extensions on this site. Our servers run the dependency resolution and hand you one ZIP with everything baked in — upload it through your host’s file manager, run Flarum’s own web installer, done. When updates come out, you get a fresh bundle built against your exact set, in one click. No SSH at any point.
Which extensions can be included?
Free, open-source extensions from the Flarum ecosystem. We never bundle paid or proprietary extensions — those belong to their authors’ own stores.
Will it work on my host?
Before anything else, you’ll run a one-file compatibility check that reports your PHP version, memory limits, and missing pieces — so you know whether your hosting can run Flarum before you spend anything. If your host can’t, we’ll tell you plainly.
What does it cost?
Building your first bundle will be free. Keeping a forum current — rebuilds and upgrade bundles for your extension set — will be a small yearly subscription. Joining the waitlist commits you to nothing.
